Welcome to Hope!

30 years ago, 2-4 children in 10,000 born in America would eventually be diagnosed with autism.

Today that number is a staggering 1 in 150.

Autism is a developmental disorder which disconnects children from their environment and other people. This can be a very upsetting and scary time for families dealing with this issue.

Currently, autism cannot be cured, but it can be treated.

WEAP was founded on the principles first developed by Dr. Ivar Lovaas of UCLA. His behavioral treatment finds a way around autism and allows children to learn in new ways.

WEAP has taken these principles and honed them through intensive research to find the best treatment methods. Today, 50% of WEAP clients achieve a state of effective normalcy. They have caught up to their peers and have a real chance at a fully integrated life.

We do this because we care so much about the families we encounter. It lights us up when we see a child achieve another goal. Children are graduating from our program and heading into the world with confidence and ability.

Welcome to WEAP. Welcome to hope.
